Point Douglas Rental Properties Registry

Check out the Point Douglas Rental Properties Registry, a free resource for renters and for landlords.

On the Registry you will find:

  • Current listings of rental properties in North and South Point Douglas;
  • A free listing service for landlords to list their properties
  • Resources and information for tenants and landlords

Why the Registry was started

The Rental Properties Registry was created in response to many requests for rental housing listings. There were no listings available for our area. At the same time, it was necessary to find a way to track new residents to the neighbourhood, to inform the PDRC Welcome Neighbour! Program so that they could then deliver a welcome package to them and help them settle in.

With the cooperation of NECRC and the TLC program, landlords and property owners/managers were contacted and informed of the opportunity to be involved with the Registry. Many of them thought the idea was sound and signed on. As a result, the program has proven very successful. We'd like to thank the participating landlords for contributing so much to that success.

If you are a property owner and want a free listing for your rental property or to learn about resources available to you as a landlord, you can reach us by email at info@pointdougla.net or by phone. Call Heather Geddie, Registry Coordinator, at 801-3086.

The printed listings are also available at the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre at 221 Austin St, the PDRC office at 881 Main St, Norquay School, Eagle Wing Early Education Centre (the daycare) and will soon be available at other locations in and beyond our communities. The Registry is updated monthly, and more often as we receive new information.

  • If you see a house for rent on your street that is not on our listing, please let us know and we will contact the landlord and update our listings.

  • If you would like to help in some small way, please contact us about volunteer opportunities.

We've made every effort to ensure the listings are current, and as more landlords come onto the registry, more properties and information will be added. We hope you'll find the website helpful and we welcome your feedback.

The Point Douglas Rental Properties Registry and PointDouglas.net are independently run by volunteers. Although we are not directly connected to the Point Douglas Residents Committee, we do work closely with them and with other community organizations.
