The
EXTERIOR FIX UP GRANT PROGRAM IS BACK!!Thinking about fixing up the exterior of your
home? Want some financial help doing the repairs?
The North End Community Renewal
Corporation (NECRC)
and the Point Douglas Residents’ Committee (PDRC) are pleased to
offer resident homeowners and landlords the opportunity to fix up their
properties! The purpose of this program is to help improve the exterior quality,
safety, longevity and appearance of homes.
Grant recipients are selected by “lottery” with first-time applicants receiving first priority. Grants can be used for a number of exterior renovations or repairs, which include (but are not limited to) windows, walkways, steps, porches or verandas, roofs, siding, painting, fences, eaves troughs, garages, and exterior lighting.
Landlords are also eligible for a grant. The grant helps a landlord with larger projects that improve the safety or appearance of their rental property. RENTERS, be sure your landlord has received an application and tell them to apply!
Applications and criteria forms can
be picked up at NECRC at 509 Selkirk Ave or 221 Austin St.
Applications must
be submitted to NECRC, 509 Selkirk Ave by 4:00PM on Friday, May 01, 2009.
If you did not receive an application form in The Point newsletter or have other questions, call Fiorina at 927-2343.
Please note that South Point Douglas properties are NOT eligible for the Exterior Fix Up Grant Program.
