About The Point -- The Point Community News, now in its seventh year of publication, is a vital communication tool for residents of Point Douglas and the local groups and organizations which serve them. The Point has been essential in the positive transformations taking place in our community. The Point is funded through various small grants, and the support of our advertisers.  

Distribution -- The Point is delivered to:

• all households in North and South Point Douglas;

• to many businesses;

• to numerous agencies and organizations within and beyond our borders;

• and is available for pickup at numerous sites throughout both communities. 

Frequency & Format -- The newspaper is published bi-monthly, with 12 or 16 pages depending on content). It is published January, March, May, July, September, and November. Please note:  As the size of the newspaper does not increase to accommodate an increase in advertising demand, space will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.  

Advertising or Sponsorship -- You may purchase space to:

• advertise and promote your business, or

• take out a sponsorship ad to show your support for The Point, and for the community. 

Ad Space Availability -- Currently, the size of the newspaper is not increased to accommodate an increase in demand for ad space. Therefore, spaces will be allotted on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to multiple insertions.  

Deadline for Submission -- The deadline for submission is usually the 1st of each publication month 

The Point Online -- Your ad will appear in the online version of the print edition at no charge.
