Tenant-Landlord Co-operation (TLC)

Are you struggling with rental issues? Is your landlord a slum landlord who won't fix anything?  If so, you can get help from the North End TLC program!

You can ask the TLC to come and inspect your house. If there are things that need to be fixed, the TLC will work with the RTB so that the work will be done. Your rent goes to the RTB until the work order is satisfied. The landlord cannot evict you for doing this.

  • The North End Tenant-Landlord Co-operation (TLC) program offers tenants and landlords access to workshops to inform them on rental issues and help when things go wrong.

  • Call for advice on your rights, help filing claims and preparing for hearings with the RTB (Residential Tenancies Branch)

  • Your house is a disaster and the landlord won't fix anything? Call for a TLC Home Inspection and get the problems fixed!  TLC works with the RTB to ensure that the work is done and the landlord gets his rent from the RTB, as he complies with the repairs work orders.

Please contact TLC Coordinator, Darrell Stavem, for more information on how the TLC program can benefit you.

Phone:  927-2334

This sign on a rental property indicates that the property has been inspected by the TLC and certified as meeting TLC standards.
